  •   1. By means of molecular genetics and cell biology, the molecular mechanism of the interaction between pollen factor SLF (S-locus F-box) and style factor s-nuclease in the self incompatibility of hybrid Petunia between Plantaginaceae plant goldfish grass and Solanaceae plant was studied.


  •   2. Using the model plant tomato as the research object, the molecular mechanism of breaking the reproductive isolation barrier between tomato species was studied by means of molecular genetics, so as to clarify the origin and evolution of Solanum tomato family.


  •   3. The molecular genetic mechanism and regulatory network of rice response to ambient temperature were studied by means of molecular genetics, transcriptome and proteomics.


  Xue yongbiao research group is mainly engaged in the field of plant molecular and reproductive biology, focusing on the molecular mechanism of reproductive disorders and growth and development of flowering plants. SLF (S-locus F-box) gene controlling self incompatibility of goldfish pollen was cloned for the first time. It was found that SCF E3 ubiquitin ligase complex scfslf composed of SLF and ssk1 (SLF interacting Skp1 like1) played a decisive role in self incompatibility; At the same time, the molecular genetic mechanism of plant adaptive growth and development was studied.
